Glassware: IPA glass.

Appearance: Lovely bold amber colour that bears a two finger head. It falls away quite quickly but still manages to decorate the glass as we hook in.

Aroma: Did someone say Korben D?! It is literally a lighter and less boozy take on its bigger (and better) brother. Still let us revel in this magnificent hop. She’s mostly floral but accentuated by zesty citrus, pine, blueberry, some tropical fruit and grassy notes.

Flavour: Jeez it really is a chip off the old block, it even tastes like the same malt bill as Korben D. This is in no way a criticism though! The smooth caramel and light toasty notes marry up with the mosaic hops beautifully with a nice and big drying bitterness to finish.

Mouthfeel: Punchy and pithy yet reasonably pleasant over the tongue. 7.2% ABV with an assertive bitterness in the swallow.

Overall: It’s pretty simple – if you love the Korben D then you’ll love this. The only difference is you could have a few more of these and still be standing by the end of the night!
