“Our British Golden Ale is the original summer beer. A blend of UK and Australian hops & malts combine a balanced sweetness, bitterness and mild fruitiness. With gentle carbonation it delivers a refreshing and classic flavour to enjoy in the sun at home or in the beer garden.”

Glassware: English pint.
Appearance: Pale golden yellow complexion with a slight hop haze. It constructs a finger of bright white head which gradually peels off. Nice wavy lace clinging to the glass as it ebbs.
Aroma: Comes off as quite complex yet very light and refreshing at the same time. It’s definitely fruity – mostly orange citrus and stone fruit – but also earthy, spicy and floral. The combination of Aussie and UK hops and malts gives it that old v new world dichotomy which we’re really digging. As it settles it becomes more tangy and earthy with notes of apricot, marmalade, white roses and bread crusts.
Flavour: We know this will sound retarded but it’s a very “beery” beer. It’s about as conventional and peeled back as you can get. The malt bill is grainy and toasty, the hops are mostly herbal and floral with a flutter of citrus and the yeast has a woody and soft estery accent. Hits a bit like Cooper’s Pale Ale, just a tad lighter and drier in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and light on. Co2 is on the flatter side and the 4% ABV assures its crush-ability.
Overall: Highly enjoyable drop. We’re really liking the OG English/European stuff these guys are putting out. They clearly excel in the old-world styles.
