Humble Sea ‘Otter Space’ DDH IPA

Rating:

“DDH Foggy IPA with citra, galaxy, and pacific jade.”

Glassware: IPA.

Appearance: Nice mustard-y and super hazy complexion. Thick and frothy two finger head which slowly recedes but it literally hangs a sheet of lace down the glass.

Aroma: It certainly has all the hallmarks of a good NEIPA; tonnes of stonefruit, mixed citrus, doughy/biscuity malt and tropical fruits but it’s the soft musky scent that has us intrigued. Picking up some herbal notes too, a hint of pine and creamy oats for extra measure. Solid.

Flavour: Really smooth with a trace of dryness upfront. The fruit profile is more restrained as opposed to the aroma…citrus and stonefruits mostly with the tropical fruit sweetness having a spell. A mix of peach, rockmelon, pineapple, mango and passion fruit finish with a nice drying bitterness. Good length too.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, creamy and well rounded. Finely carbonated, medium body and 6.5% ABV…which is well concealed.

Overall: This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of this mob but it is the first entry for them. We’re proud to say that it wouldn’t stack up against an MC or GP hazy but it definitely holds its own. Decent.
