Cintra pilsener

Rating:

imageThis is a pilsener from Portugal. It was a cheap 6 pack so we slightly concerned as to the depth here. Poured in a schooner glass, there is a straw like colour with plenty of carbonation and a head which fades. Smells like a commercially produced lager. Grassy notes. Maybe some doughy yeast. Not much else. Tastes sweet and certainly crisp and refreshing. Mild bitterness. Of note here on the bottle is the use of maize, as well as colour and stabilisers!! What a disgrace. Here’s a tip..never buy beer with these additives. Give yourself an uppercut brewers…pathetic.  Only drink if on a beach and it’s cheap.
