“Perhaps you heard of a worldwide beer-movement that tributes favorite hipster neighbourhoods across the globe. If you feel excluded because you’re hip but your city is not, this cutting-edge, ‘hip without border’ pale ale is an homage to you – the global hipster. Cheers!”
From arguably one of the best gypsy brewers in the world comes this pale ale of 5.5% ABV. We love that it’s in a can too. We were dumbfounded when we realised this brewery doesn’t have it’s own establishment, rather, brewing out of the tanks of the some of the other best breweries in the world. Why not? Right…pouring a golden copper colour with plenty of carbonation like a lager. Bit watery looking at the bottom of the tulip glass. Nice big white creamy looking head which hardly budges leaving a finger width as it dissipates. Real hoppy aroma of tropical fruit, and pine. In the mouth it’s light to medium bodied, with definite bitterness. Moderate carbonation in the mouth. Grapefruit and lemon are the dominant flavours here. Very mild caramel malt sweetness on the back palate but bitterness wins easy. We are a bit confused as it tastes like a mild IPA here… There is patchy lacing down the glass. This beer definately becomes more ale like as we finish it and it warms up. Overall a nice but slightly confusing ale.
