On tap at the brewery in Wollongong. Served in a standard schooner-style glass the jet black pour generates a thick lasting tan head. Good lacing. We’re detecting a slightly sweet aroma consisting of cocoa, licorice, oats, biscuity malts and cream. Mild carbonation. Slightly watery mouthfeel for an oatmeal stout. Strikes us as more of a porter. Subtle coffee, chocolate, sour malt and cocoa make up the palate. 5.9% ABV. Quite weak for this style of stout. It Lacks body. Not the best oatmeal stout we’ve ever had.
