Feral brewing co. hop hog IPA

Rating:

Feral brewing co hop hog IPANow this is a top notch IPA from the lads at feral brewing co. in the swan valley W.A. Served in an IPA glass the ever so slightly hazy golden amber pour produced a 1 inch white head that slowly collapsed. Average lacing. A very floral and fruity aroma is what you would come to expect from an IPA of this class and it righteously delivers with big notes of pine, grapefruit, peach, lychee and passion fruit to boot. Undertones of caramel, white pepper and biscuit balance out this beautiful bouquet. In the mouth it feels quite frothy with medium carbonation. Medium body. On the tongue, upfront stone fruits take the lead with hints of peach, rockmelon and mango carrying on through the mid-palate and delivering a fruity and slightly dry finish with good length. 5.8% ABV is spot on, and even though its quite low for an IPA of this standard, dont forget the fact that this was the gold medalist for 2012. Enough said.
