Hawkers ‘Freedom Units’ Triple Hazy IPA

Rating:

“A Triple NEIPA, brewed on our 37.8 barrel system. This 12.68oz can of goodness contains over 73 Gnagy’s of louievilled water, 18 inches of a bushel of malt and a whopping hectogallon of hops all combined to create a 4ft8” gauge of deliciousness.  Taste the freedom.”

Glassware: IPA

Appearance: Super hazy pastel orange with a creamy two finger head that holds. It literally drapes a sheet of lace down the glass. Brilliant.

Aroma: Smells the goods! Juicy AF but also chock full of oats and white bread, frosty fruits, pineapple, mango, peach, apricot, herbal spice and a tickle of warming booze in the nostrils. This is the first hazy we’ve had from Hawkers but it smells like they’ve been doing them for years!

Flavour: NEIPA town! Brilliantly balanced front palate of juicy mango, peach, pineapple, melon and frosty fruits against the backdrop of smooth creamy oats and white bread. Spicy herbals and tangy citrus kicking in around the mid moving to a smooth finish full of creamy oats, doughy malt and herbal spice.

Mouthfeel: Super smooth, creamy and well rounded. Medium body. The 10.5% ABV is incredibly well hidden.

Overall: We’d always thought Hawkers were the masters of West Coast IPA but they’ve just proved their rank with this solid NEIPA. Very tidy.
