Savory evergreen and pineapple aromas mingle with flavors of bitter, resinous pine and grapefruit pith. A colossal rush of hoppy adventure!”

Served in an IPA glass. The slightly hazy amber/orange hue is capped by a slowly receding one and a bit finger head that settles to a ring with patches of soapy lace clinging to the glass as it ebbs. Ooph, the olfactory’s are tingling from a big, juicy initial sweetness – kind of like candied fruits. A tonne of other fruits are erupting out here. We get wafts of grapefruit, pineapple, mango, paw paw, passionfruit and lychee that are bolstered by a sharp alcohol astringency that provides similarities to a big, fruity cocktail. At times we get a fairy floss (cotton candy) scent that comes and goes intermittently. Some light florals flowing through too – lavender, pine and even a suggestion of spicy aniseed to further fill it out. Absolutely gorgeous aroma! In the mouth it’s smooth and creamy with a slight tickle from the 9% ABV. The 101 IBU is extremely well masked as it works its magic in the background. Co2 is moderate and the body is medium. The taste is more dank and resinous in comparison to the nose. Leafy/herbal hops mix with a resinous pine upfront. Bitter grapefruit and lashes of tropical fruit come through as an assertive bitterness develops across the mid. The gradually piercing alcohol expands late and ushers in a sharp, crisp and herbaceous finish with lengthy duration on the back palate. We must say, it’s been a few years since Green Flash has graced our shores and all we can say is keep it coming boys! Yeah OK we’re half a world away, but don’t forget about us please 🙂
